This painstakingly-articulated real human skull is in excellent condition. Numerous windows and cutaways reveal an array of inner structures of the skull, such as the roots of the teeth, the paranasal sinuses, and even the inner ear. Blood vessels surrounding one hemisphere of the brain are hand-painted on the interior of the skull. The dentition is intact. The mandible and calvarium are removable, and once removed allow the central section of the skull to be opened sagitally (see photos). The vomer and perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone are on a thin, hinged saggital slice, allowing the user to fold them back and see the nasal conchae behind them.
